The Antarctic Glacier Vintage Edition is the result of an extraordinary discovery made by Nivada Grenchen CEO Guillaume Laidet during a visit to the Cenic Watches workshop near Grenchen, Switzerland. There, alongside master restorer Nicolas Huissoud, he uncovered a hidden treasure: 18 pristine original Antarctic Glacier dials and 18 vintage ETA 2783 movements, both New Old Stock (NOS) components preserved in exceptional condition since the 1960s/1970s.
These rare, decades-old pieces have developed a subtle, natural patina that enhances their authentic vintage character—without any structural damage—creating an unparalleled sense of history and soul.
This ultra-limited collector's edition of just 18 individually numbered pieces revives these components in a faithful 35mm stainless steel case, masterfully blending the rugged spirit of mid-century exploration with contemporary Swiss craftsmanship.
