Designs from Seiko's vintage watches are reconstructed into a collage. Internationally renowned collage artist Kosuke Kawamura extracted characteristic designs and elements from Seiko models from the 1960s and 1970s and reconstructed them into this specially designed model, limited to 3000 pieces.
The dial and hands extract elements and colors from the popular 1970s Seiko "Time Sonar" model. The bezel display, indexes, scale design, and layout also extract elements from the popular Seiko 5 Sports vintage models. The dial is translucent and partially coloured, leaving the view opened on the day and date discs underneath. Also, graphic printed elements framing the Automatic indication and the day-date window have been printed on its surface, and the dials have a two-colour combination that is bold, graphic and fresh. The bezel’s insert, in aluminium, has a graphic vibe with contrasting silver and black areas.
All in all, a rather unique and original look that has a clear retro & artistic vibe.
The watch is offered as a limited edition with a KOSUKE KAWAMURA signature on the case back alongside the words "LIMITED EDITION" and the serial number.
A special box unique to this collaboration model is offered with the special package that includes an original poster.
