2017 Porsche Design Monobloc Actuator GMT-Chronotimer

The design of the MONOBLOC ACTUATOR Chronometer Flyback Limited Edition is inspired by the Porsche 911 RSR. The look of the dial made of real carbon is reminiscent of the sports car's bodywork. The color scheme of black, white and red elements is inspired by the characteristic colors of the Porsche GT team. In addition to the time display, this racing watch features a chronometer with a stop function: the chronograph can be controlled ergonomically with a rocker switch. This technical solution demonstrates close ties between the luxurious sporty men's watch and the Porsche brand, as similar shift paddles have been used in the iconic Porsche 911 RSR for decades.

The technical appeal of the MONOBLOC ACTUATOR Chronometer Flyback Limited Edition is enhanced by the exciting glimpse into its sophisticated mechanics: the innovative watch surprises with a transparent back made of robust, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The seven-fold anti-reflective coating of the glass over the dial enables perfect reading in all lighting conditions. The bracelet harmoniously rounds off the look and, with its precisely adjustable folding clasp, ensures an absolutely stable hold on the wrist.  

The new Monobloc Actuator 24H-Chronotimer takes a lot of its design cues from the original Porsche Design Titan chrono from 1980.  The running seconds have been downsized to disc with radial stripes that is visible through a small aperture located at 9 o’clock.
