The Seiko Presage 7F38-6040 is a refined expression of 1980s horological design, blending traditional complications with the high-precision reliability of Japanese quartz engineering. This "Moonphase" model represents an era where Seiko pushed the boundaries of multi-functional analog displays, offering a classic aesthetic that rivals high-end European dress watches.
This specific example features a crisp, white dial with a textured finish, balanced by a four-subdial layout that includes day, date, a 24-hour indicator, and a beautifully rendered moonphase aperture at the 12 o’clock position.
Condition and Presentation:
Case & Bezel: This watch is in very good condition, showing minimal signs of wear. The gold-tone accents on the bezel remain bright and intact, maintaining the sharp contrast of the "two-tone" design.
Dial & Hands: The dial is immaculate, with all printed scales and the moonphase disk showing zero fading or oxidation. The classic Breguet-style hands provide a touch of timeless elegance.
Bracelet: Included is the original matching two-tone bracelet. It remains tight with very little stretch, featuring the correct integrated end-links that flow seamlessly into the 36mm case.
Movement: Powered by the sophisticated 7F38 quartz caliber, known for its reliability and the tactile feedback. The movement has been checked by our watchmaker and fresh battery installed.
