A Design Built for the Future

Designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro (the man behind the DeLorean), this isn’t just a watch—it’s a piece of industrial futurism. Originally built for racing drivers to use with gloves, its offset "wing" and matte-black finish caught the eye of James Cameron, landing it on the wrist of the android Bishop in the 1986 masterpiece Aliens.

The Offset Case: The most striking feature is the asymmetrical matte-black case. The movement is shifted to the left, while the right side features a prominent vertical "wing" that houses the chronograph pushers.

Ergonomics: This offset design was intended to make the pushers easier to operate while wearing racing gloves and to prevent the crown from digging into the wearer's wrist.

The Bracelet: It features a unique, integrated bracelet with directional links that complement the angular, architectural feel of the watch head.

World-Class Internals: The 7A28 Movement

Beyond its Hollywood pedigree, the 7A28-6000 is a horological milestone. It houses the Seiko 7A28 caliber, which was the world’s first analog quartz chronograph movement15-Jewel, all-metal gear train (fully serviceable).

Condition:

Overall this watch is in very good, vintage condition with just some minor surface wear to the PVD on the case and on the edges of the bracelet. The dial and hands are perfect.  The glass has some minor scratches & can be replaced for a small additional fee.

The movement has been chekced & cleaned by our Watchmaker who specializes in Seiko watches.   A new battery and case back gasket have been installed.   All functions work as they should and the second hand re-sets correctly (an issue with un-serviced models).
