First introduced in the early 1970s and refined through late-1970s iterations, the Autavia GMT combines Heuer’s racing chronograph legacy with true dual-time functionality. Equipped with the automatic Calibre 14 movement, this reference represents one of Heuer’s most technically sophisticated driver and pilot watches of the decade. The Mark 2 variant stands out as a quintessential late-70s tool watch, distinguished by its charcoal-black dial with orange racing accents on the minute totalizer, bold yellow GMT hand, and iconic bi-directional "Pepsi" 24-hour bezel.

Design & Aesthetics

The matte black dial is anchored by contrasting sub-registers and bright orange accents, offering exceptional legibility across multiple time zones. With the winding crown characteristically placed on the left—a signature of Heuer's early automatic chronographs—and the pushers on the right, the overall architecture remains one of the most recognizable sport profiles in vintage horology.  An incredible pallet of colours that are distinctly 1970s!

CONDITION:

Dial: Perfect condition. The charcoal/black dial surface and sub-registers remain immaculate, preserving sharp text, vibrant orange accents, and original luminous plots.

Hands & Lume: Perfect condition. Main hands and the prominent yellow 24-hour GMT hand are pristine, featuring original luminous inserts in spotless shape.

Case: Very good unrestored condition. Retains original proportions, crisp case lines, and factory finishing, displaying minor surface wear and honest scratches consistent with normal light use.

Movement: Fully serviced recently. Running strongly, keeping accurate time, with all chronograph and GMT tracking functions operating smoothly and resetting cleanly.
