Introducing the Heuer Autavia 11630 GMT Mark 1, the most sought version of the Autavia range. As the second generation of automatic GMT Autavias, this model was introduced in 1972 and quickly became a favorite among collectors for its robust functionality and striking design. Powered by the reliable Buren Caliber 14 movement, it features a chronograph for timing events, a date window at 6 o'clock, and a dedicated GMT function to track a second time zone via the iconic red-and-blue "Pepsi" 24-hour bezel and vibrant yellow central hand. The reverse-panda dial, with its black background and white sub-dials, adds a bold contrast that's enhanced by red accents on the 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock and the 12-hour totalizer at 9 o'clock, making it a standout piece for enthusiasts of motorsport heritage and timeless style.
The stainless steel case measures 42.5mm in diameter, showcasing sharp lugs, an intact sunburst finish and has never been polished. Every detail, from the Heuer-signed crown to the fluted chronograph pushers, is original, ensuring this watch retains its historical integrity.
The particular example comes from the first owner in United States and is accompanied by it original, sought after GF BOR bracelet. The Heuer Autavia 11630 GMT Mark 1 offers a perfect blend of functionality, rarity, and enduring appeal that's sure to turn heads.
Condition:
The example offered here dates from the early 1970s and is in overall excellent condition for its age. It is 100% original, no parts have been changed.
The matte black dial surface is free of any marks. The right sub-dial has a small blemish on the outer circumference. All the tritium is intact, evenly aged and without patina.
The case is unpolished, retains it’s combination of brushed & polished surface and only has some light surface scratches. The serial and model numbers are still clearly visible. The mineral glass has been polished and is scratch free.
The GMT bezel has some scratches throughout. Over time is has faded to the very attractive muted colours you see in the images.
The Cal 14 movement has been serviced by our Watchmaker and is working strongly & accurately for its age. The watch will come with a Service Receipt and 12month movement guarantee.
