1971 Breitling Transocean 2119
A rare integrated bracelet watch from Breitling in mint condition!
$2990.00
During the 1970s, many watchmakers pushed the boundaries, and Breitling was at the forefront with its eye-catching designs. This attractive Breitling 2119 Chronograph features the Cal. 12 movement, the improved successor to the revolutionary Cal. 11. In 1969, "Project 99" led to the creation of the world's first automatic chronograph, a result of the collaboration between Hamilton-Büren, Breitling, and Heuer.
The Breitling Transocean 2119 from the early 1970s exemplifies this innovation. Its blue-silver dial is adorned with orange chronograph hands, wide hour markers, a red date display at 6 o'clock, a yellow pulsometer scale, and a blue outer ring. The unusual oval case shape perfectly complements the oval blue subdials, creating a harmonious look.
In excellent condition for its age, the watch features a crisp silver dial and a clean case. It’s a fantastic entry-level chronograph for budding collectors. On the wrist, the original stainless steel bracelet ensures comfort and a beautiful vintage look.
Condition:
Overall, the watch is in mint condition for it’s age and is 100% original and unrestored. There are only some minor scratches / scuffs on the bracelet (can be easily polished out). The Cal.12 movement as been checked by our watchmaker and all functions work correctly and is working strongly, gaining only 6 seconds per day with an amplitude of 265. The bracelet comfortably fits a wrist of 7 inches and comes with an additional link.
