A great chance to acquire one of Breitling’s most unique and eye-catching vintage designs!

This is the reference 7101 Bullhead ‘Pult’ mirroring similar releases during this period by Omega and Seiko.   This timepiece resembles the look of a bull with horns (hence the moniker “Bullhead”) with the chronograph pushers being on the top of the oblong case instead of the side.  Designed with drivers in mind, the Bullhead case is thicker at the top than the bottom which allows the user to check the time more easily.

This reference came in both brown and blue dials, in both manual minding Valjoux 7740 or in automatic Cal.12 versions.  The blue dial appears to have been made in relatively smaller production number.   The dial is so unique and at the same time incredibly legible; the orange handset adds a playful element to the piece.  Excluding the hour/minute external bezel, you can find three additional scales on the dial – a base 100, a pulsation, and a tachymeter. This whole combination creates a very coherent and damn cool 1970s wristwatch.

Condition:

This Bullhead is in a great condition, from its well-preserved, 42mm bullhead case to its flawless dial. The colored aspects of the watch have maintained their vibrancy, which allows the wearer to clearly read the chronograph and various scales.  The is watch is in true collector’s condition and comes fitted with a matching, high-quality NOS NSA-style bracelet.

The watch comes with the Breitling Extract from Archives confirming the case was produced in 1971.
