Emerging from the heart of the 1970s, this Dugena Chronograph is a pristine time capsule of bold horological architecture. Dugena, often utilizing premium Swiss components, created watches of exceptional build quality, and this piece—featuring the robust Valjoux 7733 wrapped in a large 42mm cushion case—is a prime example of the brand’s golden era design.
The standout feature is its hypnotic, sector-style quadrant dial, divided into contrasting silver and matte white segments that play spectacularly with the light. The applied, multi-faceted dark steel hour markers feature black inserts that give the face incredible depth, balanced by striking pops of vibrant orange on the central chronograph hand and both sub-registers. Framing the quadrant layout on the inner rehaut is a red-marked Pulsations scale (graduated for 15 pulsations), identifying this as a functional tool watch intended for medical professionals.
Paired with a complementary perforated racing strap, it offers presence on the wrist for the collector who appreciates pure, unadulterated 1970s style.

Overall this example is in mint condition.
The dial is spotless and original lume is intact on hands and dial with minimal patina. Hour markers are marked with lume plots. The hands are exceptional, with the striking orange remaining bright and even, and the multifaceted steel hour and minute hands showing no tarnish.
The case appears unpolished and retains its correct combination of linear brushed & polished surfaces with only a few barely- visible scratches. The large rectangular chronograph pushers and original crown function perfectly with minimal wear.
The movement has been fully serviced by our Watchmaker. All functions are working correctly, the crown action is smooth and the watch resets crisply. On the timegrapher it's running strongly at +1s/day with an amplitude of 299.
The watch is paired with high quality, calf leather, 'rally' strap.
