1970 Breitling GMT 2115

A Rare & Beautiful Pilot’s Chronograph

$6600.00

Long before the automatic chronograph era, Breitling established itself as the undisputed master of wrist chronographs. The manufacture pioneered the first independent wrist chronograph pusher in 1915, followed by the dual-pusher architecture in 1934 that defined the modern chronograph layout used industry-wide today. Deeply rooted in military, civil aviation, and professional timing instruments, Breitling's decades of technical mastery culminated in the co-development of the landmark automatic Calibre 11 in 1969—cementing their legacy at the forefront of high-performance chronograph evolution.

Following the historic release of the Calibre 11 , Breitling launched the iconic Chrono-Matic line—a bold testament to 1970s avant-garde watch design. Featuring a distinct GMT complication, vibrant orange hands & a yellow GMT hand, and a massive 47mm cushion-shaped case, this reference stands as one of the most striking and rare automatic chronographs of its era.  The rotating, 24-hour inner bezel has a lighter (day) and a darker (night) hue. The GMT complication allows time displaying in two different time zones simultaneously.

Collector's Note: Combining the legendary Calibre 11, a wrist-commanding 47mm case, and an beautifully preserved dial & bezel , this Chrono-Matic GMT is an exceptionally rare and highly desirable piece of early automatic chronograph history for the serious collector.
